Page Arizona Time Zone

What is the time zone in Page, Arizona? It is the morning of your Antelope Canyon tour and you check your phone to see what time it is. To your surprise, the time is an hour off.  Panic sets in.  You realize that your phone is changing in different parts of Page.  In a panic, you call the tour company, and they give you some good advice how to figure out what time it is in Page.

Time is very confusing in Page. At the hotel, your phone says one thing.  You drive to Horseshoe Bend; your phone says another thing.  It is very important to know the correct time so you will not be late for your tours and your trip

What time is it in Page Arizona?

The answer to the question is that Arizona is in Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) year-round.  Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings Time, however the Navajo Nation does. Depending on your location in Page, whether you are close to the Navajo Nation or even close to the Utah border, your phone will change automatically.  The best advice is to set your phone manually to Phoenix, Arizona. This avoids the constant switch.

Does Page AZ have two time zones?

Since Utah and the Navajo Nation recognizes Daylight Savings time, your phone may be confused.  It is also possible that the cellular signals are bouncing off the towers in Utah or Page causing the change.

Antelope Canyon Tours

When we were confused, I called our tour company.  We were scheduled to see the Lower Antelope Canyon through Dixie’s Tours. She explained that the tour companies stick to Mountain Standard Time for simplicity. Since most visitors are coming from Phoenix or other cities in Arizona, keeping the same time zone would not cause confusion. Although, it still does.

Just remember that most Antelope Canyon tour operators use Arizona time, Mountain Standard Time.  Even though the Navajo Nation recognizes Daylight Savings Time, the tours use Arizona time. The Page Arizona Time Zone is very confusing, but it is important to always arrive early for your tours.  If you’re unsure, then you may have some extra time to look around before your tour.
